Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is your Returns/Refund Policy?
A.
Due to the nature of downloadable digital scrapbooking products, we do not offer returns or refunds for completed purchases. All sales are final. However, quality is extremely important to the PGD designers. If you find a problem with any products you have purchased, please use the form on the Contact Us page to let us know. Products that contain any errors or flaws will be fixed and you will receive the corrected replacement.

Q. At what size and resolution are the products created?
A.
All papers (unless otherwise stated) are created at a 12 x 12 size. All papers and elements, brushes, etc. are created at 300 ppi.

Q. What is “ppi” and how does it affect me in my digital Scrapbooking?
A.
“PPI” means “pixels per inch.” While a resolution of 72 ppi will suffice just fine if you intend to only view your layouts on your computer or share them via the Internet, a higher resolution is necessary for a quality print. We understand that many digi scrappers don’t print their layouts; however we create all designs at a high, print quality resolution in case anyone decides they would like to have a layout made with PGD products printed.

Q. In what format are your files delivered?
A. Papers are delivered in .jpg form. All elements/embellishments/frames etc. are delivered in .png format as this allows me to save them on transparent backgrounds. All Photoshop brushes are delivered as an .abr file. This file format is compatible with Photoshop products only. If .png versions of the brushes are delivered along with the .abr file (for users of PSP and other software), this will be stated in the product description. Layered Templates are delivered in .psd files. These can be opened with Photoshop CS products or Photoshop Elements products only (for information on which versions the templates are compatible with please see the product description).

Q. Do your products contain drop shadows?
A.
Generally the answer to this is no. Sometimes, in order to achieve a level of realism, PGD designers will apply a bevel, emboss or similar style to a graphic and this will create a level of shadowing on the product. Occasionally for our customers' convenience, PGD designers will provide files with drop shadows. In these cases, the shadows will either be delivered as a seperate file or with a shadowed and non-shadowed version of the element. Any drop shadows you see in previews are for illustration purposes only. Templates may come with drop shadows applied to some layers, but because these are delivered as Photoshop documents, the customer always has the option to edit the layer style and change the drop shadows as they see fit.

Q. What types of payments do you accept?
A. Payments for purchases from Pixel Gypsy Designs are processed by Paypal. You may pay for your purchase with either your Paypal balance, or with your credit card. You are not required to sign up for a Paypal account to pay for your order with your credit card. When you proceed through the checkout process, you will be automatically directed to Paypal’s secure website to complete your payment. Once your payment is processed you will be redirected back to PixelGypsyDesigns.com where you can proceed to download your products! eCheck payments via Paypal are not accepted at this time.

Q. Once I’ve checked out, how long do I have to wait for my downloads?
A. The Paypal website will automatically redirect you back to PixelGypsyDesigns.com where you should see your download links. If you do not see your download links, make sure you are logged into the website, and go the My Orders. You can also access your download links from the Order Confirmation email you will receive from PixelGypsyDesigns.com. Your download links will always be in the My Downloads section and do not expire. If you have any problems with your download please visit the Customer Support page and send us a message!

Q. What are the Terms of Use for your products?
A. You can read the general PGD product Terms of Use documentation here at PGD by clicking the Terms of Use link at the bottom of website. A copy of the PGD/Designer Terms of Use (TOU) is also included with each product download. Please take the time to read this document so that you can be sure you follow the guidelines for use of PGD products. For information on Commercial Use licensing, please see the Terms of Use documentation by clicking the link at the bottom of the website.

Q. Can I let my friends and/or family use the products I’ve purchased from you?
A. The Personal Use License that you receive when you purchase a product here at PGD is good for any computers within your household. Relatives (e.g. mother, father, son, daughter, sister, brother, etc.) who LEGALLY reside within your household may use products you’ve purchased in their layouts. In order for both you and your daughter to scrap with a kit you’ve purchased from PGD, you don’t have to purchase the product twice. Transferring any of PGD products to a computer outside of your legal residence is a violation of my Terms of Use. “Sharing” products with anyone who does not legally reside within your household is a violation of the PGD terms of use. If you would like to “gift” someone with PGD products, we do offer Gift Certificates! Please use the Contact Us form for Gift Certificate inquiries.

Q. Are you accepting designers to sell at PixelGypsyDesigns.com?
A. PGD designers are being considered on an ongoing basis, however we are not engaging in a mass designer call. If you are interested in becoming a part of Pixel Gypsy Designs, please send an email to sherrie@pixelgypsydesigns.com that includes a bit about yourself, your design style and previews of your best work. DO NOT send product samples with your initial inquiry. If we are interested in seeing your work in further detail, we will request samples. We welcome inquiries from both new and experienced designers. All PGD designer inquiries will receive a reply within 14 days.

Q. Can I have my purchases burned to CD/DVD and mailed to me?
A. Currently we do not offer burning services, but it is something we will seriously consider if the demand is there. If you would like to have the option of receiving your products mailed to you on a disc, please use the Contact Us form and let me know!

Q. Can I submit layouts made with your products for publication?
A. Absolutely! Please make sure you properly credit the product as {Designer Name} of Pixel Gypsy Designs and include the product name(s) along with the PGD website url (if the magazine allows) in your supplies list. Also, if your layout is chosen for publication we would love to receive an email letting us know what publication and issue your layout will appear in so that we can pick up a copy! You can use the Contact Us form to do this.

Q. Can I submit a layout made using one of your layered templates for publication?
A. You sure can! Again, just make sure you properly credit the designer and list the template name and website URL (if allowed) in your supplies list. An email letting us know where and when your layout will be appearing is always appreciated!
